You should be proud of yourself as often as you can be. Small wins in the morning no matter what the task is, no mater how small, you should be proud.
These wins add up.
Your conscious brain might not think it's a big deal but the subconscious keeps tabs. These wins add up to the bigger picture.
Let's take the marathon as an example. Running even one mile when you don't feel like it means you're no longer relying on motivation, your being consistent. The bigger picture is the full marathon, but the small win is getting out when you didn't want to. Regardless of the distance, you got out.
As your motivation yo-yo's, so does the way you speak to yourself. So in direct correlation with your physical self and your conscious brain, your subconscious keeps tabs on the way you speak to yourself. Negative, angry and belittling thoughts lead you to take similar actions. Surrounding yourself in an environment building you up is the only way the bigger picture gets achieved. So make your mind an environment you want to be in.
These actions will make up unstoppable.
